Each project begins with a different home, a different place, and a different vision. What they share is the thought, craftsmanship, and care that goes into making each one its own. Some are transformations, some are built back from the unexpected, and others evolve over time -- but every one reflects the people who call it home.
What began as a remodel became a home shaped around the way its owners wanted to live in the mountains. Highmark worked throughout the home to bring old and new together, preserving its character while creating spaces that feel comfortable, thoughtful, and entirely their own.
After extensive damage from a propane explosion, this lakefront home became a nearly two-year rebuild involving an architect, designers, and a full team of skilled trades. Highmark coordinated the many moving parts from beginning to end, bringing everyone together around the details, decisions, and craftsmanship required to rebuild the home with care.
An off-grid home that evolved over time, Sugar Pine reflects a different kind of building -- one driven by resourcefulness, creativity, and making thoughtful use of what was already there. Reclaimed materials were given new purpose as the home was modernized, creating something practical, personal, and unmistakably connected to its surroundings.
